Just before posting the final pictures and video of our buggy, I think that it will be useful to post a general view of how we considered the movement of motors in our buggy.
This diagram shows that how the direction of buggy changes by varying the spped of the 2 DC motors.
Movement of Motors:
From microcontroller we cannot connect a motor directly because microcontroller cannot give enough current to drive the DC motors so instead we use a motor driver. The motor driver takes the input signals from the microcontroller and generates corresponding output for the motors.
The table below shows different directions of both motors and the corresponding motion of the robot.
| Left Motor | Right Motor | Robot Motion |
| Straight | Straight | Straight |
| Stop | Straight | Left |
| Reverse | Straight | Sharp Left |
| Straight | Stop | Right |
| Straight | Reverse | Sharp Right |
| Reverse | Reverse | Reverse |
Use "forward" for the direction of the motor not "straight"
